2026 autumn Release

Nuance 2026

A new Pinot Gris for The Other Right. Didn’t disappoint. Granny Smith, yellow peach, fresh fennel seed, slate and subtle nuttiness. A fantastic expression of this grape.

Pinot Gris from Forreston, Adelaide Hills, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in very old french barrels sur lie for 5 months, then gravity-bottled and left for another few months to settle.

Southern Cross Certified Organic Pinot Gris grown by Brendan Cameron, Lansdowne Vineyard, Forreston, Adelaide Hills

Multicoloured Sunrise 2026

Ok, this is special. Muscat can be too much of a good thing. With that in mind, a barrel of aromatic Red Muscat from Vine Vale was blended with some chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills, which provided a much sought-after restrain and resulted in a vibrant pink colour. But don’t mistake it for a rose. It is quite aromatic, and a little bit textural. Full of intrigue. Glacé cherry, rhubarb compote and coriander seed gently carried through by soft phenolics and acidity. One of a kind!
Chardonnay/red muscat, fermented and aged in very old french barrels sur lie for 9 months, then gravity-bottled and left for another few months to settle

Stay Mellow 2026

OK, this is very special. Certified biodynamic Vine Vale Semillon from vines planted in 1860s (!). While looking for organic Semillon, I was lucky enough to be able to get some of this unbelievable fruit from Wayne and Suzi from Smallfry. ~160 years of vine age provides the grapes with unmatched concentration, which doesn’t detract from the wine’s elegance. Blood oranges, pithy grapefruit, cardamom, nashi pears and quince blossoms. It is an orange wine, full of character, but quite gentle and soft.

Love Potion 2026

Working with Ernst for the last 13 years has been an immense pleasure. Uncompromising approach to grape growing yields grapes and wines unlike anything else in McLaren Vale. This year is not an exception to that rule. Very low yield this year, so only one barrel of Love Potion! What concentration, what character! Year 2026 graces us with dark plums, graphite, juicy blackberries and a pretty firm tannin structure, without making the wine even remotely heavy or jammy. Slurpy!

Magical, light and smooth.
