Fresh Spring Wines!

The Other Right 2023 Spring Release

Hello friends! Happy Spring!!

6 months since our Autumn release have gone by fast, and here we are with our first offerings from the 2023 vintage!

The vintage was slow and lasted what seemed like forever, but, that resulted in great things happening at the winery.

Due to the longer ripening time, the wines are full of flavour, ending with alcohols that are generally very low, which we do see as a bonus.

Ernst’s Shiraz from Sellicks Hill is now NASAA Certified Organic, and Lansdowne Vineyard is the next project. We are very excited about going down this path and will keep you all updated with the process.

As with Sellicks Hill, in all of our vineyards the farming is done according to organic principles. It involved additional work and thoughtful planning in the wet season that we’ve had, but it's an approach we are gladly committing to. As part of this goal to sustainability and the highest fruit quality, we are working with lower yields and therefore, smaller cuvées, but we are beyond happy with how the wines turned out.

As in previous releases, our wines are made from 100% grapes and nothing else.

Find all details of the new wines here.

As always, thanks so much for the support!

With love,

Alex & Galit

Hello friends,

What a vintage it was. What a year. Another roller coaster, quite trying for most. Hopefully, we are slowly getting out of the woods. In the meantime, trying to celebrate what we can!

As said, what a vintage! Finally, a very good crop year, which allowed us to make a bit more wine this time around! Quality didn’t disappoint, either. In fact, we couldn’t be happier with how the wines turned out. We were able to keep the alcohols low, with most wines being in the 10’s and the 11’s %ABV and still are full of flavour, which is what we strive for.

There is a new cuvée this vintage - Hearts will Repair, a couple of old ones that made a comeback, as well as all the usual spring suspects and 3 Pét Nats, all disgorged.

We’re so happy to report that finally, quantities are more generous with a bit more wine than usual this year which is fantastic!

In the other news, we’ve started the organic certification process for Ernst’s Sellicks Hill vineyard, and are hoping to be able to do the same with all the other vineyards eventually, one step at a time.

Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the warmer weather outside!
